As long as there is the Communists heading China, they will not allow 'foreign' religions to interfere.
That is why they have strict State control over Christianity and Islam.
It must be remembered the cataclysmic 'revolutions' (apart from Mao's) were organised by the Christians of China. Namely, Hong Xiuquan, the 'Heavenly King' who claimed to be the younger brother of Jesus and who led the Taiping Rebellion and Dr Sat Yat Sen or Zaizhi, who was baptized in Hong Kong by an American missionary of the Congregational Church of the United States.
