This is shameful. Chinese people are mostly honest and upright citizens. Xenophobia against upright citizens is wrong at so many levels.

Well, wages are set by market rates, also since workers unionize, they are dictated to some extent by living expenses. In the 1900s, Chinese disrupted the labor market by providing a much cheaper alternative to whites. They were able to do this because of a favorable exchange rate back home and by not living at the same standard as white men. I would argue that what the Chinese did is morally questionable at best.
