GURGAON: Barely one and a half months after an attendant at the Kherki-Daula toll plaza was shot dead, an attendant posted at the Alipur Tigra toll barrier on Beewa road in Mewat was shot at by the driver and the co-occupants of a mini truck on Friday.
The accused had allegedly shot the attendant, Alisher, four times after a brief altercation over toll charges. According to the Mewat police, the accused were aboard a red Tata-407. "We have recorded the statement of the victim. He has received some injuries and is recovering," said a senior police officer.

Alisher told the police that he along with other staff was deployed at the toll barrier when the mini truck reached the toll booth around 3am on Friday.

"When he asked the truck driver to pay the toll fee, one of the persons on the truck started abusing at him. There were four persons inside the truck when the incident took place," said an investigating officer. The victim told the police that when he objected to their behaviour, they took out guns and fired at him. Within minutes the accused fled.

An injured Alisher fell on the ground and lost consciousness. His colleagues rushed him to a government hospital in Ferozpur Jhirka and informed the police. Swinging into action, the police placed pickets on the nearby roads but could not catch the accused.

"We have recovered two cartridge covers and registered a case against unknown persons. The case will soon be solved," said Keshav Ram, SHO, Ferozpur Jhirka police station.

What I want to know is, whether at least this time, registration number and other details were captured by the cameras or not. If not, the entire fuckin' management team of these toll booths should be sacked immediately.
