Surprising he has not been arrested even though he has been booked for a non bailable charge.

If he is not well, he should have been arrested and then shifted to the hospital of his choice under arrest and 24 hour police custody.

He a from the BJP.

This type of reporting and the fact that Owasi is being handled with kid gloves when non Muslims are taken to task by the media and the people, is what makes people feel that there is discrimination and that causes all the bad blood.

If here was even handling and reporting in the media, none would bother.

It is the politicians of all hues and the media who create all the problems in this country over religion!

Owaisi is the MIM leader in the state Assembly and is known to have made several speeches against public figures, leaders and even organisations. In 2007 Owaisi allegedly threatened a fatwa to behead noted Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasreen.

In 2011 he called many Andhra Pradesh MLAs 'kafirs' (people outside the fold of Islam) and 'kufrastan' and in April 2012 he used demeaning language against the Hindu god Ram. Owaisi faces arrest, security beefed up in Hyderabad
January 08, 2013 14:36 IST

The Andhra Pradesh police have decided to arrest Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen Member of Legislative Assembly Akbaruddin Owaisi for his alleged hate speech.

While political leaders are apprehensive about the repercussions of Owaisi's arrest on the law and order situation in Hyderabad and across the state, police officials have pointed out that the fear of communal clashes cannot act as a deterrent in arresting an offender.

According to a source who is part of the investigations, the police believe that a strong message should be sent out against hate speeches and their dangerous effects on society.

The police have already taken all precautionary measures and stepped up security in various parts of the state. Security has been heavily strengthened in the old city of Hyderabad, which is considered a stronghold of the MIM. Special forces have been called in to maintain calm in this area.

After Owaisi returned from London [ Images ] on Monday, several meetings were held between government officials, politicians and Intelligence Bureau sleuths to decide on the next course of action.

The ruling politicians were not keen on Owaisi's arrest as they believed that it would stoke communal tensions and create a sympathy wave in his favour.

In its report on the ground situation, the Intelligence Bureau admitted that there was likelihood of trouble in certain pockets but if the police acted promptly, the situation would not spiral out of control.

Police officials point out that though Owaisi was given a chance to explain himself, he seemed to have scant regard for the law.

He was summoned to the police station but the MIM leader refused to make an appearance, claiming that he was unwell.

The police from the Nirmal district visited his home and questioned him on Tuesday morning. They later insisted that he undergo a medical test in a government hospital.

The Nirmal rural police from Adilabad district on Tuesday morning visited Owaisi's residence at Banjara Hills in Hyderabad.

The investigating officer found Owaisi to be fit and said that he can be questioned. The police insisted that he should undergo medical tests at a government hospital.

Owaisi was then taken to Gandhi Hospital where he was subjected to 15 tests. According to sources, the doctors did not find anything wrong with him, but this is yet to be confirmed.

If the doctors certify that the MIM leader is fit, the police are likely to take him to the police station for questioning.

Owaisi has already been issued notices to appear before the Nizamabad Police on Tuesday and also before the Osmania University Police on January 10 in connection with further probe into the cases registered against him.

Owaisi has approached the Andhra Pradesh high court seeking to quash all the FIRs registered against him at different police stations in the state.

The high court, which is on vacation, is likely to take up the matter for hearing on Wednesday.

:tsk: Deal with it. We are the same people. Jeena yaha marna yaha. You can't get rid of your own people. If India is to doom into Jihadi mindset let it doom. I have no hope but lets live in peace for few years before we die
What said is truth, why should we allow doom for sake of a minority religion?. Muslims religion is threat for our peace and their religion predominantly preaches violence like eye for an eye ,tooth for tooth ,jihad , killing kafirs(infidels or non believers), give preference to religion first nationality comes next , Muslim Ummah etc... these are few things. That religion never preaches way of life and peace thus I want to ban it.

A poem Via Bhak Sala from FB--->

@Neuro just don't waste energy.. Do some meditation and be at peace.

Breaking news..Owaisi arrested.
But he will break away with law again and again :namaste: I really have complete faith that "law will take its due course" and he will be free for "Health Reasons".The Case has already been weakened by questioning the validity of the YouTube Video. Incredible India!
