The c130j looks good but the take off weight does count as ray sir said, looks good this far

I believe it was empty..........with no payload around 35000 kgs..

High wing aircraft are more suitable for short take off and landing.

It is ideal for unpaved landing strips too.

However, the runup to take off depends on the All up Weight.

It is obvious that with a lesser All Up Weight, the take off is shorter.

I personally loved the flying performance of A400M over C-130J. Tactical Takeoff Distance of A400M is around 3,215 ft and of C-130J is around 3,127 ft but having said that one must also see A400M can lift off with Max takeoff weight of around 141,000 kg and on the other hand C-130J can pull up only 79,378 kg considering that A400M is a better performer. It has modern avionics and latest airframe platform, C-130J is based on the same old platform. Soon will post video of A400M flying display at Farnborough.
