IIRC Narashima Rao famously had said, Doing nothing is also doing something.

    Here is another view

It is fashionable these days to blame everything on 'rightwingers', the euphemism for the RS, VHP et al.

But this writer gives a greater and deeper insight what really was the reason, when he writes

Another article to blame the Prime Minister.

Liberal jerks don't have the [email protected]$ to open their mouths against violent Muslim radicals who force their foreign religion on others, but will comment on a man who has dedicated his life to serve the country.

    Shameless.

Modi also didn't condemn mullah bomb making in wb.

Sir, I think it has to do with the unwanted media criticism.
When politicians speak it becomes a news, when they dont speak it becomes another news. Speculaitions,,, talk shows... debates..
This was what politics is and was about. Whatever they say now or speak now doesnt have to do anything with whats been done behind the political stage where everything is gettin choreographed..its a photoop a show for public. thus.
This is where I liked Modis PR strategy.. A tweet ..Why waste more than a tweet on things.

Its better to stay out of this circus and follow on task at hand. Condemn world events, as and when it happens purely as a formality and not to make too much about things which doesnt have a stage on the progressive front of the country but purely political dynamics.

I suppose if every politicians mind their own task at hand, such bitching in politics will automatically stop; well media will have its circus anyway.

If you are a daily viewer of the Indian news channels, then it won't be very difficult for you to convince yourself that not much is happening in the country and around the world. These news channels select one or two "hot" topics and then keep hyping, repeating, discussion them for days, even for weeks. Easy Money.

Modi used the word "News Traders" to describe the new breed of Editors and Anchors, he was 100% correct.

And, if I may add, every news is "breaking" news.

Farmer bitten by snake - breaking news.
Dog falls into dry well - breaking news.

Now don't get me started on the annoying circles and arrows in the news clips.

Oh, the most funny thing I have noticed many times (of India), is, you have one news article of someone getting raped, and right next to it, the XXX secrets of Sunny Leone.

Indian media has become like a fish-market where everyone is trying to shout at the top of his lungs to out-din the rest.

It is easy to complain about the media, but today we are aware of so many things because of the media alone. Else, we'll be in the dark. So have a little respect.

Bah, like you even know what a horrible media ours is - anti-national, self-serving and only on the look out for "news". They have no scruples and are not trustworthy.

And stop trying to behave as you are William Shakespeare when it comes to pmaitra.

    1) Most funny is correct, no need to be an ass and claim that only funniest should be used.

    2) His is also used in the correct manner. For many hundreds of years, he and his have been used as pronouns while referring to groups. You are the only person who takes fault with it.

It is sort of what we call in Tamil, வழுவமைதி, not that you would know what that is, you not being a Tamil .

    Thanks.

@genius has one correct point. "Funniest" should be used instead of "most funny." Regarding the other two things, (1) I don't have an em-dash on my keyboard (MS Word auto converts hyphen into em-dash, but not DFI), and (2) regarding gender neutrality, @genius is completely wrong.

    I have responded inline.

If you blabber about unnecessary things, you descend to the level of a MSM journalist.
