Muktsar, December 5 (ANI): In a shocking incident, a Sarpanch in Muktsar district of Punjab was today caught on camera slapping a woman, in front of dozens of policemen. The Sarpanch-Baljinder Singh, belongs to the Shiromani Akali Dal. The woman, a teacher by profession, was reportedly asking for a permanent job. The teacher who was hit was part of a crowd that was waiting to meet Harsimrat Kaur Badal- an Akali Dal MP and the Chief Minister's daughter-in-law. However, the sarpanch refused to let them enter the venue.

Wow, hitting a woman that too in public? One must have no sense of shame to stoop so low.

Now let us see how the law takes its course.

Why would she be stopped from meeting a public servant she elected? And stopped like this ??
The Sarpanch should at least enjoy one night in custody for this.

Hindsight: When I was 20 (7 yrs back), I once slapped a woman ten years elder. She hurled abuses at me in an open park and I lost control. Next to loose it was one of the uncles standing by and he returned me the favor. :p I had to stop or else would've landed in Jail for sure. It was a low tolerance locality to fly stuff like that.
It was rage and I only swung once at her but somehow half her face turned like a swollen purple fruit till the ear. The matter went up till the local ward Paarshad.
My parents grounded me for a week and later had me put on some stone (for control of temper) :p
I was provoked but there is no denying that I was still wrong in resorting to violence on her. Whether she was right or wrong in starting it with verbal vollies, she was still a woman and I was seen as the offender in any case. Once the boiled blood gave way to reason, I did regret it.

    Regards,
    Virendra

This happens all over the country but time is changing now. People like this sarpanch should be taught a good lesson. We need more media coverage for these type of events and camera mobile will also play a very very important role here. Once we start projecting these thugs and goons everyday, we might reduce incidents like these by at least 50% in next 1 year.

Oh yeah, Gomedh also keeps your mind cool. Now I have doubts whether I should support your gun cause, because I know you are hot headed. :D

    Just kidding!

Haha .. this is not cool dude. Nit picking a slap and using it to image me a potential murderer? .. :tsk:
By the way if someone is thinking on those lines seriously they may go ask anyone, half of our cops and soldiers were notorious teens who spilled a lot of blood and broke many bones :)
I'm sure my teen age has been pretty smooth .. way smooth than the shit usually people get into. This slap was perhaps the loudest thing that happened in all the years. Now you can imagine how loud/quiet I was.
We've all had our loud field days, just that not everyone shares it honestly in open ;)
By the way, you're yet to support the cause. Did you join NAGRI? Its free and easy.
Or have you caught the habit of confusing words with deeds :D
Let me know if you really want to support, I can explain any queries that you have before putting your signature.

    Regards,
    Virendra

No, I was just kidding about that gun thing.

It does however play in the back of my mind, what if some hot headed person had a gun in his person? He would not explore the option of walking away from a conflict.

With guns in possession, it is a lot of power and it should come with great responsibility.

However, with you personally, it was just a light hearted joke not meant to be taken seriously. :)
