So, now even the ATCers are trying their hands at terrorism?

It appears they gave wrong ETA to Mumbai ATC also. Such vile behaviour !! This appears to be completely deliberate.

Yes it is. They're sole reason to exist is to annoy India.

That is freaky also near the time of Malaysian airlines. Are the pakis trying to create trouble for Americans since it was a Boeing aircraft. Trying to create a wedge between india and USA with such behaviour...

No one can also forget the good ol days where the paki ATC gained its caliber:

Rediff On The NeT: Musharraf was dead against landing in India

Most probably a human error, it happens all over the world including India.
Luckily a human tragedy was averted and the plane landed safely.

Given how Chennai sector master-ATC's area of influence extends all the way till Nizamabad in Telangana (370 nautical miles), beyond which Nagpur sector master-ATC takes over, I don't see why India can't set up a master ATC about 50 miles west of Bhuj in Gujarat, so our aircraft inbound from Europe don't get trolled by Karachi, with radars in Oman.

Well, ATC/civil aviation is one aspect where the ATC does not play with the lives of human beings, no matter how severe the enmity is between two nations. This is a holy rule in aviation. A coordinated action by ATC staff to deliberately try to induce a collision between two aircraft is just not possible.

This was not deliberate, but blithering incompetence. The people in charge there that day need a hard kick on their butts, and suspension without pay for a month or so... that should do.
