Agni VI: India developing 6000 km range SLBM with MIRV

Now we have two long range SLBM under development!!

IMO they should take the best out of two and make a new missile instead of wasting resources on two missiles or scrap Agni SLBM for K-X since IN is more interested in K series missiles.

K series is considered to be more advanced than Agni series by Indian Navy.

I am almost certain that they will replace all the prithvis with K-15 in future but i am not sure about long range missiles.

But you cant fit a Agni missile in a Sub, can you ? Its too bulky even the two stage Agni-3 is 17 meters and its competitor K-4 is only 10 meters.
Lot of work needs to be done to fit a Agni missile in Submarines, we can only wait and see.

AND
yes after analysing all the articals on K & Agni serise i am convisened that K serise will be the default missile on submarines but will be supported by Agni serise when we need high and large distruction of enemy target as Agni's had large diameter then K's so can carry large amount of warhead meterial for large distruction.

The K-Series are probably modified Agni Missiles, the K-4 is quite similar to the Agni-II. It is probably modified with an initial canister booster to push out of the submarine silos. However the exhaust gas seems to be orange which means its liquid propelled like the Pritive. I dont think its anything completely new which would consume a lot of resources.

Both K and Agni are solid propellant.
K is like a cruise missile, it travels parallel to the ground and Agni travels is parabolic trajectory, So they are two different missile.

this A6 with SLBM capabilities shows the maturity of DRDO in SLBM department, we have to remember that K15 and K10(A3 SLBM) are successful.

Whatever happened to Agni5. Read somewhere that test has been postponed to 2012. DRDO talked about lots of missile tests this year, almost five months gone.
