Interesting part in this news is, the tribals are complaining about Pakistan army operation; but no one seems to be complaining about drone attacks.

They made a lot of hue & cry in the beginning. But once, realization dawned upon them that their govt. is complicit & that their govt. itself is powerless in this matter, they been only whining ever since. No more real protests.

Interesting part in this news is, the tribals are complaining about Pakistan army operation; but no one seems to be complaining about drone attacks.

Pashtuns tend to cling too tightly to their tribal affiliations, which makes them easy to exploit. Reminds me of the old proverb "hard to buy but easy to rent."

There have been instances of one tribe calling in air attacks on another just to get revenge for some pity dispute.
