The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday released a video, which showed some BJP leaders allegedly offering a plum post and money to its legislator in a bid to form the government in Delhi.

The BJP, however, rubbished the video.

Accusing the BJP of indulging in horse trading, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal said that he won’t allow the party to form a government in Delhi using deceitful tactics.

Releasing the video at a press conference in Delhi, Mr. Kejriwal said: “The dirty game of the BJP is exposed today.”

“The BJP has been wooing our MLAs for the last one month but we will not let them come to power... They are betraying the people of Delhi,” Mr. Kejriwal said.

Fellow party leader, Manish Sisodia said that the video would be submitted in the Supreme Court and a formal complaint against the BJP would be lodged with the Election Commission as well.

The video purportedly shows Delhi BJP vice-president Sher Singh Dagar promising a plum post and money to AAP legislator Dinesh Mohaniya if he resigned from the Assembly.

“Our MLAs are being offered chairmanships, ministerial berths and money but none of them will defect,” said Mr. Kejriwal, adding that there were more such videos that would be released at an appropriate time.

The state unit of the BJP criticised the video as well as the AAP and called it an attempt to defame the party.

“They (AAP) have been doing this for long now. Earlier they made allegations against (BJP leader and Union Minister) Nitin Gadkari and later apologised and now again they are attacking us. This is an attempt to defame the party,” BJP leader Vijender Gupta said.

What is interesting is that the AAP chap went to the BJP man's house.

Why did the AAP chap go to the house.

    He has weakened his case.

I would think that if the BJP wanted this AAP chap to change boats midstream, he should have got the BJP to come to his place or a place of his choosing.

Now, the BJP can claim that the initiative was from the AAP chap's side and the rest was a natural corollary that is rife in Indian politics.

You should replace Sambit Patra as BJP's spokesperson.

If somebody offers me 4 crores, I will go to their house too :D

Are you meeting Ambani and Adani? :) ;) ;)

    Try your luck.

I don't require to replace Patra since I do not share the views of the baggage organisations that the BJP has tagging along.

It is just that I see things in its logical terms and a wee bit more analytical, if you please.

I don't take everything being peddled hook, line and sinker.

If plenty of money does lure you, why complain about those that offer.....

Who wanted the upper hand in negotiation ?
Who wanted to get the sting without a shadow of doubt ?

I think both of these questions will suffice.

In any case, even Dagar isn't denying the charge, why is BJP and/or others defending I don't understand.

I hope you are kidding. If I have a car worth 5 lacs and somebody offers me 20 lacs, I will be willing to ship it to far corners of India if need be.

BJP hasn't learnt its lesson. I have written here on DFI previously too. When you have already offered an outrageous sum to Binny, then you have to match it atleast to get others. Lulz.

AAP wanted upper hand since Kejriwal said he will organise stings.

Kejriwal all the way for anything dubious and underhand.

BJP is equally at fault for falling in his trap.

And stupid to want to cobble a majority, when they could have done it in the first place when they had the near majority and not leave the field open to the AAP scheming charlatan.

Now, the BJP will have mud on their face if they try to 'win' over any legislators.

Delhi BJP state unit was stupid enough to fall in trap of AAP. But one thing is clear that few AAP MLAs are not happy with kejriwal and ready to resign.
And just heard that SC refused to accept the sting CD.

BJP is stupid enough to spend crores to buy AAP MLA's which originally is what Kejriwal wanted ? I have seen whenever it comes to AAP, you let your emotions and biases take the front seat.

    Don't blame me.

A political party should instil confidence in the people.

I was once a fan of the AAP, but then sloganeering, populism, and then going on idiotic dharnas while in Govt and even threatening to disrupt the Republic Day parade is hardly the index of a matured politician or a political party. The last issue is hardly the indicator of a citizen of India.

The Republic Day Parade is the symbol of India. It cannot be disrupted for idiotic populism. If you subscribe to such idiocy as the acme of great responsibility as a citizen, then I have nothing to say.

And then giving way and resigning?

Is democracy a private preserve to indicate peeve or a 5 ring circus?

    Think that over.

Kejriwal is a prize idiot and God forbid I would ever support him.

Even the Communists, another lot I detest, are better than Kejriwal. At least, they have an agenda and are steadfast to pursue it without flip flopping to suit the flavour of the political survivability or the irrational personal peeve of its leader.

Kejrowal reminds me of Hamlet and the clownish caricature of Chaplinesque Raj Kapoor - good intentions but a total clown!

Bjp cant make a govt in delhi on there own they simply dont have numbers. The only way they have any chance is by offering bribes and buying aap or congress mla's.
