The interior of the train seems ok to me , I think no problem to travel sitting in the comfortable chair. Also , writer is himself is not too lean to describe the Gentlemen Fat.

all houses seemed uniform.

Before Soviet collapsed, N.korean once lived a better life than most developing countries.

in fact until 1980, if measured by per nominal GDP, N.korea was still richer than S.korea.

but now, S.korea's per nominal GDP is about 20000 USD already while N.korea is bankrupty.
