This and other incidents point to local intelligence and logistics been provided to these scums, for money(mostly)

Why can't we give same amount of money to local populace for counter-intelligence ?

Also , a jammer should be deployed in area of troop movement , to resist any counter movement by disrupting communication channel of these terrorist.

Forces do make use of local intelligence. Populace in areas such as Pampore has some hostile population also. hence I guess gathering reliable intelligence would be not too easy for forces.

Fair enough to conclude that the bus did not have any escorting vehicles.
Otherwise the pig standing in front of the bus and firing into it with impunity wouldn't have been able to do so. Would've been gunned down before he got there.

The stretch of road shown doesn't show any other vehicle apart from the bus.

It is very difficult to get intelligence from locals . About 95% time , the information given by locals to Army is wrong .
And many time they give only that information to army which terrorists said them to give , which leads to ambushes sometime .

Indeed but Army gets information when it knows who all can provide. Especially after ambush, the provider of wrong info, gets into trouble

CRPF ignoring intelligence inputs and not following SOPs.. much to the contrary of some people here trying to construe that it happened due to lapses in equipment.

The current DIG CRPF is ex-andhra grey hounds chief and ex-NSG Chief before heading CRPF.

In today's interview he was saying, there will focus on upgrading the buses. He said mobile bunkers will be increased along the 40 km stretch. He also said first mobile bunker reached the spot in 1 min 40 secs.

Originally the vehicle was for CT operation as instructed by Gen V.K Singh, But its requirement were changed by his successor as only for Reconnaissance and a replacement of BRDM-2, You won`t find this vehicle for CT operations any longer ..

^ come to think of it- say, why not for both roles? If the vehicle is replacement of BRDM and COIN, why not have same vehicle for both? Come to think of for majority of times, its iA itself which ties itself in knots

Gen VK Singh had instinct what a gen and army chief should have. His successor was just a show off.

I thought that attack should be of 10 - 20 seconds .
But that terrorist is dancing in front of whole convoy for about 2 minutes in open , and doing damage .
That is not understandable .
no one is killing him !
