BJP on Monday claimed that failure of the Congress in following coalition dharma had antagonised four key UPA allies and this could lead to mid-term polls as they want to break ties with the ruling party.

"UPA is on the brink of a collapse as a large number of Congress allies want to break off. Congress has not been able to follow coalition dharma and this has made the allies unhappy," BJP Vice-President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told reporters here.

He claimed four of the UPA allies, who were earlier part of the NDA, were in touch with the BJP.

"These four parties are on deputation in the UPA. They did not have a good experience with Congress and were keen to part ways with it and are in touch with the NDA," he claimed.

Naqvi, however, refused to name the parties.

With this development there are clear signs that the country might have mid-term polls, Naqvi said, adding that Lok Sabha elections could be held along with the states where Assembly polls are due in 2013.

For every partner that is ready to leave, another one seeking power is ready to support. Jayalalita had offered her support some time back. Mulayam will support when the time comes.

BJP is fishing in troubled waters and trying to add to the confusion.

That said, it will be better we have fresh elections and then have a strong show either from congress or the BJP where either of the parties get a figure much more closure to 272.

Was chatting up with a friend and he pointed out Mulayam Singh Yadav is gunning for the PM post, and if so, quite possible the elections could well happen sometime within the first half of next year.

Whaaat...that semi-literate goon.... Forget about English he cannot even speak good Hindi. Sad to see that the lawless state of Uttar Pradesh has so much clout because of its huge population.

I think this is just a political gimmick to demoralize the government at the center. I think that we must wait till 2014 to get a new government at the center as anything which is against the ruling government may be disastrous for the economy as well as the security of the country also...........
