my impression was - that the doom time was after day 21- and into day 22 with no target time specified so technically until 2359 hrs the following day and the mayan time -zone eg ecuador or peru is the reference time zone ??

so in effect we have to wait for 2359 hrs on 22nd dec in terms of mayan ( ecaudor or peru ) time

now that would be about say 1500hrs 23rd dec 2012 by Indian time ? --so we arent through as yet
