Dada,IA vehicles like Nissan Jonga, Nissan 1 tonner , as well as Shaktiman, were 1962 or 1967?

If 1962, then, logistically, we were probably better than Chinese!!

Also, high altitude clothing looks comparable for both sides, not in adequate as often described..

Few pics are from 67 conflict..
You can notice soldiers carrying SLR / FN FAL..

Keep up the good job, Once again great pics !

Also
> Snow goggles?

>High altitude clothing seems good, comparable to what we have today...

>.303 good rifle for sniper, bad for volume firepower, less rounds too

>Lack of automatic rifle

.
Awesome!!!

Can't believe the Indian soldiers had goggles back than in the 60's.

It does not mean the logistics were better, Roads are important and still today the front lines are supplied via air despite the roads are there but useless..

I think that howitzer could be disassembled and carried by mules.

Are there any photos of people reacting from other parts of India (southern india, western gujarat, rajasthan) or from other countries during 1962 war? Any newspaper clippings?

There was a pic of John F Kennedy and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

we lost 1300 brave souls in this war :/

RIP
God bless those brave souls...

Although off topic...

I heard my father telling me at my childhood how his friends went to war in 1962 with virtually no clothing, food and proper arms to fight Chinese...

I also saw one of my senior in my school, who lost his father in the war and his mother committed suicide thereafter immediately hearing his father's loss"¦ the mother left her son to her friend's custody to be taken care of "¦ I had seen the pain that child grew up with"¦ void of parental love is killing"¦
