Rats jumping on to sinking ship, wtf....???

In the Bihar Assembly of strength 293 Congress(I) has a grand total of 4 members. Its position in Bihar was such that to protest Advani's yatra against corruption couple of years back Congress leaders from Mumbai including the great Sanjay Nirupam were flown to Bihar-UP border where they protested the entry of the Advani `rath`.

Has Congress(I) started disbursing `membership rewards/incentives` much in advance of polls ? Intriguing.

137 JD(U) and BJP leaders join Congress

PATNA: In a boost to Congress in Bihar, 137 JD(U) and BJP leaders, including former JD(U) spokesperson Shambhunath Sinha, today joined Congress. Sinha and others were given primary membership of Congress by Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee (BPCC) president Ashok Chaudhary at a function held at the Sadakat Ashram here.

Speaking on the occasion, Chaudhary asked all former Congressmen, who had joined other parties, to return to their parent party and strengthen it ahead of the next general elections. He also had a dig at JD(U) and BJP for fighting a battle of attrition among themselves over Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi's elevation as BJP's poll campaign chief and possible parting of ways between the two NDA allies despite best efforts of the BJP patriarch L K Advani.

"The NDA government (in Bihar) is on ventilator and grasping for its last breath," the BPCC president alleged and claimed Bihar Congress will play an important role in the state politics, apparently hinting that the four-member Congress legislature party may extend support to Nitish Kumar government if JD(U) severe ties with BJP. Besides Sinha, the other prominent JD(U) and BJP leaders joining the Congress are Rajkishore Singh, Premnath Paswan, Anil Kumar Nag, Rajesh Sinha, Pranav Pandey, Bhola Sharma, Sanjay Sharma and Rahul Kumar Singh.

Not an issue, this is very small number and not significant. As don't think these leaders have influence.

    A very interesting development.

One wonders what will be the reaction of the Congress, BJP, JD (U) and RJD.

Congress will claim it was Rahul Gandhi's unending campaign in Bihar, where he lost, is now coming to roost.

JD (U) will realise that maybe it was not such a great thing to precipitate a crisis with the BJP so early.

BJP will be delighted since now Modi can campaign with full force, but still be worried that the JD (U) is not by the side.

RJD's Laoo will be happy that he has destroyed all the political parties and he would be the real joker of the pack!

That's quite correct Sir, but I still fail to fathom the underpinnings of this weird development, as @parijataka aptly describe "Rats jumping on to sinking ship, wtf"....???

Congress has looted so much money that now they can buy any party and electoral. Congress-I's shamelessness on scams they did can be very well explained as they will be fighting next elections with straight faces.

BJP should less worry about compromised Adwani and JuD, rather fight alone.

Congress is nothing in Bihar, these are leaders who were sidelined from their own party, read that "former spokesperson".
