Bangladesh war trials :- No power can stop war trial

Awami League General Secretary Syed Ashraful Islam said on Thursday no power in the world can prevent the trials of war criminals detained in jail on charge of crimes against humanity in 1971.
"We made commitment to people to hold their trials and we will fulfill it at any cost," he said at a press briefing at AL president's political office in Dhanmondi.
"Many claim that there are pressures on us from foreign countries about holding the trial. I can assure you that there is no such pressure on us," said Ashraf. "Every country including Pakistan and Saudi Arabia is in favour of the trial."
"The world community wants the trials of the atrocities," said Ashraf, also the LGRD minister.
Alleging Thursday's hartal was enforced to hinder the trial process of the war criminals, the ruling party spokesperson said BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and Jamaat-e-Islami are solely responsible for calling the hartal in the name of protesting a recent hike in fuel prices.
Ashraf said the fuel prices have been increased in line with the international markets. If Bangladesh's fuel prices are less than that of India, then smuggling would ensue to gain benefit.

There is no doubt that those who have stood against the interest of the Bengalis of Bangladesh and collaborated with the Pakistanis should be brought to book.

To imagine that these collaborators wanted Bengalis to remain second class in a country they selected to join because of religion!

To imagine that people are satisfied to be servants to people who treat them as dirt just because of religion!!

However, it is easier said than done.

The Biharis of Bangladesh and the Jamaait have infiltrated into the innards of the Bangladesh and has hallucinated the people with religious hashish!

It is a test for all Bengalis of Bangladesh.

I am reminded of Nazrul's (he was borrowed from India since they had no Muslim Poet Laureate) epic poem - Durgama giri kantaro moru.

Is there any Bangaldeshi to respond to the call of the Future?

Or will they become vassal to the Jamaait and Biharis to sell away their identity as Bengalis?
