India will not increase range much over their threat profile, atleast for a decade. Simply, There are other budgetery priorities after threat profile has been addressed. Such as better sub sonic cruise missile's, war head miniaturization, SLBM's etc

There are more technological milestones to achieve before we really break into 10,000+ range, which will take atleast 5 years of R&D

USA wont care, because they have already accounted for us to be able to target them in the near future. Agni II may well be decommissioned in about 5 years once we start production of A5 and and build sufficient numbers along with the A3. Or the production at least will be stopped.
