Why is india not sending cricket teams to asian games?? We could more or less win 2 golds(men, women) there, even if we send India B team(leave alone india A team). Those bozos in BCCI and IOA should be fired.:mad:

It's a little bit sad, that a private org has exclusive control over the national cricket team. They couldve atleast sent a B team, it wouldve been good enough to win. the defending Champions are Bangladesh :D

Anyway 1 more bronze Asian Games LIVE: India win bronze medal in women's badminton team event | Zee News :third:

Saina Nehwal won her match, P.V Sindhu couldve won but then the went on to a third game and she lost. The other two matches were just too easy for the Koreans.

Saurov Ghosal wins Silver in singles squash :second: ! He is the first indian to win a silver medal in squash. Couldve been a Gold easily, he was leading 2-0 and the third set went to two tie breaker points. But the Kuwaiti held his nerve and made a big come back.

Abhinav Bindra playing in his last match won the bronze medal :third:

Correct me if I am wrong, but is not BCCI a private entity, not directly controlled by the GoI?

Why not? They could have sent one if they wanted to..
A private entity has no "obligation" to do anything. If you want, you can ask the govt to sponsor a national team but you cant force a private entity to do it for you.

Of course. Hence they were not forced. But I feel they should have sent one.

worst ever performance of indian team at asian games, only 1 gold so far and we are at 16th position even pakistan is just 2 rank below than us... our medal winning capacity is again declining in 2-3 recent years.... is it a congress effect ?
