They dont even know what patriotism is. Hinduism killed the greatest thing that happened to this landmass Buddhism and later on now it is trying to kill secular India. Brahmins were the one who was leading this Hindu way of life in India, and killed of our chance to be a great power

1. Caste discrimination has happened in Indian history, and it was very inhuman in many cases. No one should try to claim that all castes in India are due to Islamic invasions or British rule, as some people try to claim.

2. Caste discrimination exists today too, in many places in India, though certainly not as cruel and brutal as in the past. The Indian state and society has certainly succeeded in reducing casteism by a large margin.

3. Caste discrimination was never exclusively a Brahmin privilege. In many cases, the OBCs were much more brutal to those lower on the caste hierarchy than them, than the Brahmins were towards the OBCs. Blaming just the Brahmins exclusively for every discrimination that happened is disingenuous and counterproductive.

4. Most urban yuppies just are not aware of the case discrimination that exists in interior villages of India. Their contention that there is no caste discrimination is not because of malice or denial, but because of ignorance. This is true of most South Indian urban yuppies.

As a contrast, I can tell you that in Bangalore, I have seen educated urban yuppies from "North India", mainly UP-Bihar-Jharkhand etc., totally seeped in casteism. If you dig deep, you realize how seeped in caste they are. They enjoy referring to each other as "Pandit", "Thakur", etc. instead of by name. Their abuse consists liberally of words like "Bhangi", "Chamaar", etc.

These are not rural people from the backwoods. They are people from Lukhnow, Kanpur, Patna, Varanasi, Ranchi, Dilli, etc. They are the educated who ought to know better. They are the same species who make fun of "Kaala people" and of "Saaauth Indians" and "Ch!inkis from the N-E". In short, this category of Indian, are the worst sort of species in India.

Yes, it is true. It is a cartel where the managers and recruiters prefer recruiting from their own region. It is not as broad as "South Indians" - it is more about particular communities.

And this region-based favouritism is not just in DRDO. In IT companies like Infosys, a Mallu HR manager is biased towards Mallus, and a Telugu HR manager recruits Telugus, Marathis try to recruit Marathis.

The disease of region-based favouritism is a pan-Indian phenomenon.

Its 96% against the 4 % upper castes here in TN, while may be in North India, it is 16% against the 84% population.
