Bilawal Bhutto attacked with eggs, tomatoes during 'Million March' in London

London: Pakistan's efforts to stage a march against Indian human rights violations, with a million people on the streets of London proved to be a monumental failure. Far from a seven figure, the march's attendance did not even reach five figures.

One of the organisers claimed the march was "to protest against human rights violations by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir". They planned to submit a petition asking the British government "to impress upon India to resolve the Kashmir dispute".

A few thousand men, women in hijabs and even children waved Pakistani flags behind police barricades at the British capital's Trafalgar Square. Barely a few days ago, the save place packed with audiences to watch on-stage entertainment in celebration of Diwali.

Only some of them assembled there walked down the thoroughfare of Whitehall towards Downing Street -- the official residence of the British prime minister -- for presenting a petition.

"Unfortunately we do not provide crowd figures," said London's Metropolitan Police Service, popularly known as Scotland Yard.

Unofficial Indian estimates put the gathering at no more than 2,000.

Bilawal Bhutto, leader of the Pakistan People's Party, briefly participated in the protest. Geo News, a Pakistani TV news channel, put out a report that "Indian agents" attempted to prevent Bhutto from taking part, without revealing the the source of the news. Bilawal was also attacked during the march and was pelted with bottles and was hit with eggs and tomatoes.

The TV news channel ARY News conspicuously made no mention of the attendance.

The websites of Pakistan's three leading daily newspapers, the Dawn, the News and the Express Tribune, until well after the march had concluded carried no story at all on the event.

Bilawal Bhutto booed at Million March in London

Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was forced to cut short his speech short at the "Million March" in London on Sunday when rowdy protesters reportedly started throwing water bottles at him, Express News reported.

The "Million March" was held to demand a just and peaceful resolution of longstanding Kashmir issue and saw thousands of people rally through central London in protest against India's human rights violations in Kashmir.

However, it seems politicking was not welcome at the rally as some participants objected to Bilawal Bhutto Zardari's presence at the stage. PTI chief Imran Khan's nephew, Hassan Niazi, also seemed to be involved in the controversy. Niazi was briefly detained by the UK police after the incident, according to a tweet from his official account.

According to initial reports, certain participants at the march started throwing stuff at the PPP chairman, including water bottles, tomatoes and eggs when he came on stage, forcing him to leave and be escorted by the UK police.

According to media reports, people also chanted 'Go Bilawal Go' and 'Go Nawaz Go' as the PPP chairman attempted to take the stage.

Good to see Billo getting humiliated. How I wish he had company from Hamza Shareef. Would have loved to see him booed away. Nobody wants these feudal clowns anymore in Pakistan, let alone Kashmiris.

Pakistan`s anti-India `Million March` flops in London
Pathetic for so many Paki boys being there and all the drama, smoke and mirrors come out a damp squib.

They are a divided house in Pakistan and they are a divided house everywhere.

The Paki boys must first learn not to fight and kill each other and then talk about other issues.
