This march is nothing but Pakhtoon nuisance vs dysfunctional Punjabi elitism.

There was a thread started by a member on Pakistan's Pakhtoon/Pashtoon problem. It explained many points on existing fault lines.

Nawaz is a shrewd fox.

Good that he is isolating that clot, Imran, the Taliban.

The other Joe is Canadian and with a little help from US, this half Canadian will buckle.

Nothing from our man in Islamabad as yet?

That is @Neo?

Why the silence on his part when he was so active in singing the paeans of Pakistan's democracy and stability et al?

Has Imran, who too is a Pastun like him, put him in an embarrassing state?

Political crisis in Pakistan as Imran Khan suspends talks with Sharif govt - The Times of India

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf leader Imran Khan on Thursday suspended talks with the Nawaz Sharif-headed Pakistan government.

Addressing a rally in Islamabad, Imran Khan said, "I'm appealing to you... farmers, policemen, armymen of Pakistan... fight for your freedom."

Earlier in the day, Pakistan opposition leaders , who are trying to bring down Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, were talking with the government on a way out of an impasse that has raised fears for the nuclear-armed country's political stability, Reuters reported.

Former cricket star Imran Khan and cleric Tahir ul-Qadri, who controls a network of Islamic schools and hospitals, have been leading protests in the capital, Islamabad, since last Friday.

About 2,000 demonstrators gathered on the main road outside parliament for a second day on Thursday.

Both Khan and Qadri want Sharif to resign over allegations of corruption and election rigging. Sharif, who won the last election, in May last year, by a landslide, has refused.

The protests have raised concern about stability in the country of 180 million people, at a time when the government is battling a Taliban insurgency and Nato troops are withdrawing from neighbouring Afghanistan.

The confrontation has also shone a spotlight on the central issue in Pakistani politics: competition for power between the military and civilian leaders.

Some ruling party officials have accused elements within the military of orchestrating the protests to weaken the civilian government. The military insists it does not meddle in politics.

Most analysts doubt the military wants to seize power in a coup, and be forced to take responsibility for the country's dire economy and other problems.

Army assures Nawaz of no coup - thenews.com.pk

Besieged Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has been assured by the country's military there will be no coup, but in return he must "share space with the army", according to a government source who was privy to recent talks between the two sides.
LMAO, so basically saying you must be a puppet, who takes all the blame, while we do what we want to (most of us thought this was already the case )
