Lol... I'm sorry that prolonged post was wasted on me considering my initial ho reference was entirely facetious. It seems the ball turned and passed right through the generational gap.

Re: Dear Indian patriots, my criticism of Pakistan isn't for your bene

None of the above is related to the topic.
Congratulations, another thread goes down the drain.

For 'illiterate' read 'functional illiteracy'.

Functional illiteracy is reading and writing skills that are inadequate "to manage daily living and employment tasks that require reading skills beyond a basic level." Functional illiteracy is contrasted with illiteracy in the strict sense, meaning the inability to read or write simple sentences in any language.
It also means that those who are not too conversant with the language, may also be considered functionally illiterate.

I have hastened to add this since you may in your usual style, without comprehending, take off on a pretzel like confusion of mind and waste further time.

Good cover up for lack of knowledge of the English language and mixing up as a slight to a Biblical personage.

I concede that some find languages a bit too onerous to master.

Knowledge is not a generational limitation.

Functional Illiteracy.

Um.. no... sorry to say, it was you who missed the joke completely...a joke that was a play on words which would have been impossible were unaware of the actual words. There are many things I don't know... this unfortunately is not one of them.

Good try.

But your slip is showing!

what ho, old bean?

And your post is A great joke to my 'A Daniel come to Judgement, what ho?', right?

1. I'm not sure it's very respectful to refer to a Biblical figure like Daniel as a ho.
What a gas!

Women who expose parts of their body like waist, shoulders, back and lower thigh are doing it only for their husbands. Not for other men. So other men should not react and make laws that demand that women should be covered up except for eyes, hands and feet. No?

The logic of this article is similar.

2. I think this has more to do with an observational fact than a subjective "judgment"
I wouldn't rely on Urban Dictionary. I prefer Oxford.

The correct spelling is "whore." Is this what you were thinking?

The term "ho," used by @Ray Sir, is called an Oral Gesture.

Ok just to clarify (hopefully once and for all)... yes I know precisely what Ray meant, I was making a "non-veg" pop culture play on words using an obviously facetious reference like urban dictionary

saying... oh golly, I had no idea Ray sir was so fond of hos obviously only works as a jibe if you use it in the latter sense and not the former.

Don't fib.

You had no clue.

You were indignant that I used it to a reference to a Biblical character.

Further you had no clue of the use of 'A Daniel come to Judgement' being an English phrase!

You still have no clue as to the use of 'ho', what ho, old bean?

I don't use dictionaries. English comes naturally.

LOL Sorry to disappoint on all accounts.

I was hoping you would get the humor involved in contriving a random phrase into a statement of mock indignation involving "offense to religion" which happens to be a common motif in the Indian public dialog. That clearly was too much of a stretch. (As a side note I personally don't give a rat's ass about biblical, or any religious characters for that matter)

Also, I don't know why you're under the impression that these phrases you deploy are so unique. Even the most basic reader of the English language knows (or should be able to figure out) what they are.

At the risk of sounding even more supercilious than I normally do on the internet... there are many things I don't know... this is not one of them.

Cheers

Rat's ass?

You are a specialists on rat's ass? It is indeed an unique opportunity to know that you are an expert who is a specialist in the observation of rodents' posterior. A rare specialisation to say the least.

Of course you don't care about a rodent's rectum (rat's ass as you mention) about about biblical, or any religious characters for that matter, but pray what does this indicate but your indignation of mentioning a Biblical character

1. I'm not sure it's very respectful to refer to a Biblical figure like Daniel as a ho.

Now, now, my good fellow, you do take the cake in living an existence in denial and obfuscation, if I have the liberty to say so.

Your sure do care and take cognisance of a rodent's rectum, what ho?

At the risk of sounding even more supercilious than I normally do on the internet... there are many things I don't know... this is not one of them.
Really?

It reminds me of the words of William Shenstone, an English poet (18 November 1714 – 11 February 1763). His quote was:
A liar begins with making falsehood appear like truth, and ends with making truth itself appear like falsehood.

Personally, I am loathed to use such rather extreme words, but the drift is what I would endorse.

Pip pip, old bird.

Re: Dear Indian patriots, my criticism of Pakistan isn't for your bene

Neo....Paki public has been brainwashed and mislead by its military dictators for so many decades that they have lost all the logical, reasoning capacity. Paki army was used and abused repeatedly by the West to keep India under pressure and Paki Generals slavishly accepting western agenda lead Paki to this pitiable position. Today, Paki is a badly fragmented, directionless society who is utterly confused and disoriented.....There is an identity crisis in Paki public.....who we are? Are we ARABS with Islamist mindset ....NO...we don't look or smell like Arabs...we don't even smell of Oil and Gas.....So who we ,Pakis are? Indian Subcontinent people...like Indians.....No..No...We can not accept that...But we look like Indians...lot like them...Lets test Paki DNA....RESULT= 90% Indian DNA mixed with some Arab, Turk and Persian (about 10%) How to accept this hard reality? Pakis have thrived hating India and now, you say, we are more like Indians...Just more brainwashed and mislead by Military Dictators and their masters sitting in Western Capitals doling out some dollars. But, DNA test does not lie !
