The same reason why non Indians commit this crime... in the name of honor. Errant attitudes among the Asian community at large in regards to honor are not limited to Muslims or Pakistanis. Besides, the culture of honor killing is pervasive in Indian culture as well, it's not like Hindus are immune to these problems either.

India is vast, these things happen very rare in small villages cut out from rest of the world, they are too few incidents and there reflection of whole Indian community is less or not at all..

For example ask anyone in west india about such or east, they dont have a clue except media told that thing happen in this villlage of this part of the country..

This sort of things are not cultural..
This are pure crime to dominate people..

The reason is also not the same, It have noting to do with religion or caste but Village elder`s courts ( Hooligan courts ) to decide people`s fate..
