Badguy please provide something more than pictures to credit China's AESA. What understanding that pic is going to give? Just some fighter with nose open showing its radar.

the naked radar is obviously either AESA or PESA...

according to "deep throat" from CD, AESA for J20 was finished in 2008...then it was fixed on J10B first ....

In fact, I posted a related thread on 2009...of course, it was peed by CHina-haters such as Vlamdir79 and Mr. Armand.
    http://defenceforumindia.com/chinese...ed-2008-a.html

Now, the AESA of J10B confirmed my old post...however, I don't expect that China-haters such as MR Armand would take back their cheap pee.

badguy what is the news on the Radar? Do they actually work or does it pick up FM radio and satellite TV in flight?

Also looks like one of the engine in the picture is out? The nozzle seems to have opened up on the left one.

I really can't get the sense behind your assumptions & visualizations.

Haters are merely curious about authenticity of these allegedly advanced electronic products. Lack of credible specs in Chinese radars & they being supplied to Pakistan to threaten US/India brings laughter more than hate atleast for me.

Rest assured Armand & Mr.Vladimir are entitled to their opinions.

The below is my argument for this issue. Just couple of examples
    1. J10 domestic radar
Chengdu J-10 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"the J-10 uses a multi-mode fire-control radar designed in China."
Uncited wiki don't mean shyte. Deputy Director of Sukhoi says it is a Russian radar...

J-11s obviously use Russian radars as that is what was exported.

That radar interrogator looks real advanced...

Perhaps. Propaganda has it's uses, especially after the Visa fiasco. China will deliver the aircraft really quickly.

Sorry, I made a mistake by saying "we have no problem", I am gonna rephrase it to "we don't think US selling weapons to India is against the rules of the game, hence we will accept that move". The thing here is so many Indians seem to fail to understand what China is doing should be expected if not torelated, they are overreacting. Selling weapons to an ally is an acceptable strategy in this game, India is doing the same to China by providing weapons to Vietnam. And people should also note that China is only selling defensive weapons to Pakistan which pose little threat to Indian national security unless India is thinking attacking Pakistan.
That's is the crux of the problem. You aren't selling the aircraft to Pakistan, you are donating.

Aid is fine and whatever Pak buys from anybody is fine as well. If you were providing modular homes and tents to the displaced people after the floods nobody here would have raised an eyebrow. However throwing away free aircraft at anybody who is pointing their guns at India is a problem that is greater than just the aircraft.

They can't deliver it any faster than Russia can provide the engines.

    from a chinese source
    Jian-10 (J-10, F-10) Multirole Fighter Aircraft - SinoDefence.com
    Radar

CAC revealed that the J-10 is equipped with an indigenous fire-control radar featuring a mechanically slewed planar array antenna, capable of tracking 10 targets and engaging 2 (using semi-active radar-homing AAM) or 4 (using active radar-homing AAM) of them simultaneously. Possibly based on Russian or Israeli technologies, the radar is believed to be comparable to the early 1990s-era Western fighter radar designs. Alternatively the J-10 could be fitted with a range of fire-control radar introduced by Russian, Israeli, and European manufacturers on its export variant.
