well My friend that is certainly a side effect but the country who have the nukes should be responsible themselves its like if you have a Gun you cant run and shoot every one with it...... if you do so some one else with a bigger gun will shoot you back and kill u....... the Nuclear countries should be responsible....... or bring the countries who need protection under the nuclear umbrella of the Nuclear power to avoid proliferation.......

The problems with nukes is proliferation to smaller countries. Unlike bigger countries, a lot of smaller countries are politically, economically and militarily unstable. Exh. "A" is Pakistan. Just imagine the prospect of Pakistan's nukes falling into the hands of jihadist groups that threaten to bring the World (India I heard is one of their favorite targets) into the Middle Ages.

In the hands of smaller unstable countries, I'm afraid nukes are really ticking time bombs of World wide catastrophe.

Defense Ministry accepts Vladimir Monomakh sub built by Sevmash

Russian Defense Ministry officials and Sevmash shipyard executives signed an act of acceptance of the K-551 Vladimir Monomakh, the third strategic missile submarine of Project 955 Borei, in Severodvinsk on Wednesday, a source in the shipbuilding industry told Interfax-AVN. "The Vladimir Monomakh acceptance act has just been signed at Sevmash," he said. The submarine will raise the Russian Naval flag on December 19, a single day for the acceptance of military products. National leaders and military commanders will be watching the ceremony live from the National Defense Center in Moscow.
"There is no doubt we will sign the acceptance act on December 10, in strict compliance with the schedule approved by the Defense Ministry," Sevmash General Director Mikhail Budnichenko said earlier. The Vladimir Monomakh is the third Project Borei submarine. It was designed by the Rubin Bureau. Sevmash, a business unit of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC), started building the sub on March 19, 2006. It was floated out on December 30, 2012. The Vladimir Monomakh commanded by Capt. 1st Rank Alexander Nadezhdin test-fired a Bulava ICBM from the White Sea on September 10. At present, Sevmash is building the nuclear-powered submarines the Kazan and the Krasnoyarsk of Project Yasen-M and the submarines the Knyaz Vladimir and the Knyaz Oleg of Project Borei-A. The construction of the Knyaz Suvorov submarine of Project Borei-A will begin on December 26.

Borei class nuclear- powered submarine Yuri Dolgoruky

SEVERODVINSK /Arkhangelsk Region/, December 26. /TASS/. The sixth Borei-class nuclear- powered ballistic missile submarine was laid down on Friday at a ceremony at the Sevmash shipyard in Severodvinsk, northern Russia. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin attended the ceremony. The Generalissimo Suvorov is the third modified Project 955A submarine. The boat is named after legendary Russian commander Alexander Suvorov, one of the few commanders in history who never lost a battle. The Project 955 Yuri Dolgoruky, Alexander Nevsky and Vladimir Monomakh submarines have already entered service with the Russian Navy. The Project 955A Knyaz (Prince) Vladimir and Knyaz Oleg submarines, which were laid down in 2012 and 2014, are currently under construction. The Borei-class ballistic- missile submarines are to become the backbone of the Russian Navy's strategic nuclear deterrent. The submarines displace 24,000 tons, reach speeds of 29 knots (some 54 km per hour), can dive to 450 meters and carry crews of 107 people. The vessels will be armed with up to 16 Bulava submarine-launched ballistic missiles, which have range of over 8,000 kilometers.
