Corruption Perceptions Index -- 2014

Here is the link, I already posted it yesterday. @sgarg
Ok, I will dissect these organizations and comment later:

1. African Development Bank Governance Ratings 2013
2. Bertelsmann Foundation Sustainable Governance Indicators 2014
3. Bertelsmann Foundation Transformation Index 2014
4. Economist Intelligence Unit Country Risk Ratings 2014
5. Freedom House Nations in Transit 2013
6. Global Insight Country Risk Ratings 2014
7. IMD World Competitiveness Yearbook 2014
8. Political and Economic Risk Consultancy Asian Intelligence 2014
9. Political Risk Services International Country Risk Guide 2014 10.
World Bank - Country Policy and Institutional Assessment 2013
11. World Economic Forum Executive Opinion Survey (EOS) 2014
12. World Justice Project Rule of Law Index 2014
@Razor, this is going to be interesting. I already see two banking cartels in the list.

Also, it says, "The CPI scores and ranks countries/territories based on how corrupt a country's public sector is perceived to be." So, if there is private sector corruption, like HDW trying to bribe, it would not be included. Makes a lot of sense already. What's more, this is a "perception."

Re: Civil war in Ukraine

Nobody outside the western hemisphere trusts these agencies and their data. These agencies are tools to paint the perceived enemies in bad light and to prove how the west fairs better than the rest.

We recently discovered the dirt below the shiny western freedom and liberty in Ferguson, what can one do when the law become illegal? Germany is supposedly secular but people pay Church Tax. Lobbying is legal in the US.

Western democracies are borderline Police States and/or Oligarchies.

Finland also pays church tax, maybe that is why we have so high moral values, our government and laws are fundamentally linked to pragmatic view on Christian values. If you choose you can also resign church, so you do not have to pay taxes. Also west is not unified, for example pragmatic north of Scandinavia with German and Netherlands is very different from right wing religious parts of US for example.

I cannot talk about India, but I can compare Finland ( nro 3 ) to Russia ( nro 136 ) and trust me, the corruption is clearly to be seen. From paying straight to police is you are speeding to huge corruption in infrastructure projects, where up to 30-40% of the value of the projects goes to pay the corrupt system.

Europe also is not unified, here is the latest list of medium salaries in Europe per country.

1. Sveitsi 6 247 euroa

2. Norja 5 091

3. Tanska 4 307

4. Luxemburg 4 249

Present rate of exchange EURO : RMB = 1 : 7.58 therefore Chinese medium salary may be around 26. Bulgaria's level  ranging from Kroatia to Romania by province, except Macau of casinos, and HK,approx. at Kypros' level .

Also subscribe to the opinion that religion or mainstream values in a broader sense do have everything to do with "corrupt levels". That's why the rejuvenation of teachings by Confucius, Mencius plus an iron fist of Hanfeizi in law enforcement is imperatively needed to fight corruption. How comes some of posts r titled " Civil War, Ukraine " BTW?

Besides, to let the "market force" play a "decisive" role in "resource allocation" (subsidies, license regimes, redundant or obsolete procedures etc. that lead to rent-seeking scams) is of fatal importance for curbing corruption. That will result in reduced involvement and intervention of the government in economic issues, and the government's shift toward a more public service-oriented one.
