    Galaxy,

Yusuf has a point, and if you ever get a chance of interacting with Dr. Kalia (Capt. Sarubh Kalia's father) you will realise other that assurances, there was nothing concrete done by the then NDA government on the issue. We took up the issue back in '09 and got in touch with Dr. Kalia, who also happens to be a forum member.

In case you personally want to get in touch with him, please visit this thread for details: Capt. Saurabh Kalia - an appeal and a tribute!

On the issue, I think Natrajan is right, this is a mentality that has grown on us Indians to forget and let it be and which then reflects on our politicians, be those of which ever background. I recall back when the incident happened pretty much everyone was up in rage, now most wont even know who Capt. Kalia was.

The law and justice system in India used to suck, still sucks and if this system continues, will continue to suck. Many heroes will become villains if righteous justice is not given to people

It would be a war crime, provide the GoI takes up the issue.

    Will it?

    If not, why not?

Again your personal opinion. I stated the fact that the NDA was in power for 5 years and the issue should have been taken up back then when we had won a war and had international support.

Sorry it's you who can't see beyond your bias and I call it as I see it.

And yes I call out the false propaganda too. I am no fool to not understand what's going on.

Like I have said before, that NDA govt had my vote in 1999. Twice! 13 day govt and the election after that. In fact it was the first time I was eligible to vote and I voted for BJP. You cannot look beyond your tunnel vision while I keep my horizon wide.

A nation which doesn't respect it's soldiers and martyrs must cease to exist. Con-Gress is being lead by people who cannot look beyond self. life of common men doesn't mean anything to them.

Only if it was our prince RG instead of our brave soul Saurabh Kalia, I would have lived with the denial of justice.

Kargil hero’s father moves SC for justice - The Times of India

My heart reaches out for Dr. Kalia... Expecting apology from Pakistan is unrealistic... however, isn't expecting spineless Indian govt to pressurize more unrealistic?

Forget about expecting apology or punishinh those behind this from Pakistan. Just punish the Indians behind the ignorance of this case.
I wish if whole IA stand against GoI & demand justice in Capt. Kallia & his soldier's case. Also demand the quality of weapons & accessories. Or atleast Agency should take care of those Indians. But unfortunately, in realistic world its not possible.

Rehman Malik shocker: Don't know whether Kargil martyr Captain Saurabh Kalia died of Pakistan bullet or weather

As a debate raged over torture of Kargil martyr Captain Saurabh Kalia by Pakistan army, Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik today said he was not aware whether he "died of a Pak bullet or weather".

The Supreme Court earlier today sought a response from the Centre the plea of the Kargil martyr's father N K Kalia seeking its direction to the government for raising the case of his son's torture at the International Court of Justice. His mutilated body was handed over to Indian army during the1999 conflict.

"I have not examined the case. It has just come to my notice. I will be very happy to see the father of the boy, the father of the soldier, and I will shake hand and will like to know what has happened exactly.

"And especially when a fight is going on in the border, we really don't know whether he died of a Pak bullet or he died of weather?," Malik told reporters on his arrival here.
