I dont understand what they are still testing in Russia, when it comes home it is going to get BURIED!
The French collobration for the new Rafael and AMCA engine should begin.
I dont understand why the French are delaying so much, their engine technology also sucks, compared to Euro Fighter and USA. Wonder even if they have it in them to get an 98kN engine.
It doesn't matter if engine will be buried once it returns as long as flight testing continues to generate data for reference book. Also you need to know precisely what your short comings are before you ask some expert to sort them out.
A very good introductory video explaining the basic functions of jet engine by a IIT professor. Extremely educational for non professionals(such as myself). Explains very well terms like bypass ratio, compressors, turbine, and the overall operation of a jet engine. If possible, go to the original site and watch all the videos! Extremely authoritative, guys!!
The Aura and AMCA will be with the JV engine with France.
Thanks for sharing..
Impossible. K-10 won't be ready for another 10 years at least. ADE wants AURA's first flight to happen in 2014 and induction in 2017. Only K-9 can make that happen. The lack of K-10 is why LCA is going to have F-414s. Anyway ADE announced AURA will be based on K-9.
If we sign the K-10 contract in June, then it will take at least 3-5 years to get a prototype in the air for tests.
Its not going to have the K-10 or K-9 core but a brand new Eco core from France.
K-10 is the Kaveri with ECO core. The Snecma-GTRE JV is the K-10.
K-9 has the old Kabini core which will go into AURA. It is official news.
Kaveri engine gathers momentum
Extremely old news.
