Interesting speech.

He gives an interesting take on Islam, to include that it is a Brotherhood but not an identity for Nationhood and speaks how Pakistan came into being.

His discourse on how each world wars led to the next. He says there have been FOUR World Wars, third being the Cold War and fourth being the War on Terrorism.

His contention of the fourth WW is most interesting and why Pakistan is the womb of terrorism.

He speaks how India rose from the ashes after the Raj.

India had 24% GDP before the British came and the Raj made it come down to 1%.

Beyond that you have no comments to offer?

I have appended it for debate and not for its age since it has views that require a debate and analysis.

This video was one of the first videos I watched that shaped my fundamental perspective about indo-pak relationships.

Yes those days.

Debates that were educative since they were based on facts and with links and not with mere personal biases and gut feelings.

Or what in Punjabi it is said when having no facts to offer - Main Dasiya or words to the effect.

MJ Akbar is a very articulate and educated man and one of the few Indian journalists whose views I respect.

Another video one should watch:

A tight slap to the (CCTV) journalist's claims and presents the Indian view most clearly.

+I didn't realise mr Akbar had an official role working for the PMO.
