Why? Russia took South Ossetia and Abkhazia. US didn't do shit. You just have to stand up for yourself. If it leads to a shooting war, be prepared and win it.

Not necessarily, but you need to be prepared and not to back down. It is often a game of chicken.

Weak leaders are an integral part of weak power.

I don't see India getting any great concessions from the West. They sign $20 billion in deals with France and gain practically no leverage on us. Now they just become more reliant on nuclear trade.

Is that why India and China work several African plantations and mines? You are the new colonial era.

If India is determined hard or soft by its procurement policy, I am again going to have to say soft.

Nobody talks about Kashmir because people don't want to upset everything, not just India but Pakistan and China.

US doesn't care if China aids Pakistan... why would they? It is obvious why India cares about both aiding Pakistan and they don't do anything about it even though they have great economic clout to do so. That is again why India is soft.

If you have to send PoK and LoC forces back to where they came from, so be it. Let India stand strong over her own interests.

Would any other country in place of India tolerated 26/11 without a wimper like India did?!! I think not. So, India is a soft country.
Would any other country threaten to take action against those who wish to hoist national flag within the country? I think not. So, India is soft country.

The two instances above are two facets of indian softness. One is toward external aggression and the other is towards internal secession. Both are 'tolerated'. Indian PEOPLE are given lectures by its govt about 'forgiveness', 'non-violence'...etc etc. The main victim of this 'softness' is the people. The real villian is the govt of the day...

We'll never regain the whole of Kashmir from Pakistan.. When we backed to LAC during 1972 war and not crossing the LOC during Kargil war, clearly states that we have accepted that PoK belongs to Pakistan and what we have in our control is ours..

None of our politicians wanted to take decisive decisions.. All just have a fascination towards ruling a country, tats it..

india is a soft power as its leaders r quite hesitant 2 take strong action, when its need most; we allways think about what foreign powers tell us,we allways want 2 be good boys in their eyes.

MOD NOTE: Sms lingo is a strick no no. Please use proper english.
