NEW DELHI, September 19 (RIA Novosti) – An Indian TV journalist from the Indian public service broadcaster, Doordarshan, has been sacked on Friday for calling Chinese President Xi Jinping as Eleven Jinping.
While anchoring the late night bulletin on Wednesday, the TV anchor apparently confused 'Xi' in the Chinese president's name with the Roman numeral XI and referred to Xi Jinping as 'Eleven' Jinping.
The Chinese leader left India on Friday, following his three-day visit to the country. During the visit, the two countries signed twelve agreements, with China pledging to invest $ 20 billion in India's infrastructure in the coming five years.
