It seems Indians are quite concerned about China, but actually many Indians don't know China at all. Whether you take China as a threat or a partner, you'd better learn something about us.
Misconception 1: There is neither DEMOCRACY nor TALKING FREEDOM but ONE-PARTY DICTATORSHIP in China, SO people there don't feel happy at all.
About DEMOCRACY:
That's the main reason why many Indians misunderstand China. They think China is another North Korea, but it's totally WRONG.
Yes, we cannot determine our new leader by voting. The new leader is elected only by the CPC's internal decision.
Not only the president, but provincial governor and mayor, all the local chief officials are determined by senior governments.
So what? Chinese people usually don't care about this. We even hadn't had the conception of "voting" until 100 years ago.
In the 2000-year history, the administration system hadn't changed much.
Though the government insist the current system is modern, it's actually based on the ancient one.
Chinese people have already get used to it. If one day you tell us we have to elect our new mayor, most of people must get frightened, because we think it's not our responsibility.
Chinese culture is totally different from the Western version.
Though this system may be not as good as YOURS, but it SUITS China, and it runs not very badly, at least it performs better than YOURS.
About TALKING FREEDOM:
The talking freedom is limited. But the limitation itself is limited.
You can talking about political issues with anyone regardless of his identity.
If you are complaining that the CPC is fxxking bad, not only civilians, but all the bureaucrats will agree.
Even for bureaucrats, their daily talking are often about blaming the policy.
The police won't arrest you if you only said something bad about your gov to your neighborhood, this will only happen in North Korea.
The RED LINE is you mustn't do this PUBLICLY. I mean, not on the social media or in public speeches and so on.
Because in this way you're threatening the social stability. That's intolerable in any country.
China needs development.
The first point that development requires is social stability rather than democracy or talking freedom or other points.
China do have many social problems, but it's because China was bullied by those Western countries so China is not developed yet.
A not developed country must have many social problems because its economy is not developed.
When China become developed, the TALKING FREEDOM will naturally be released.
About ONE-PARTY DICTATORSHIP:
One-party dictatorship doesn't mean falling behind.
This is proved by the great progress made by China during the last 30 years.
Our life are not influenced by this, or more accurately, we don't have to be bothered by deciding to vote for which party.
Also we are benefited by the stable policy.
When we become developed, the one-party system may change, but not NOW.
To sum up, all the issues are due to CHINA IS NOT DEVELOPED ENOUGH.
SO DO NOT IMPOSE YOUR MIND ON US.
About HAPPINESS:
How can you infer that we are not happy due to the problems of our political system?
That's fxxking unreasonable.
