Relying on US support, the Philippines is so arrogant as to announce in the New Year that it will increase its navy and air force deployment at Zhongye Island, a Chinese island that it has illegally occupied for years.

It will be an intolerable insult to China

According to experts, the Chinese navy has drawn a detailed combat plan to seize the island and the battle will be restricted within the South China Sea.

The battle is aimed at recovery of the island stolen by the Philippines from China.

There will be no invasion into Filipino territories.

A report in the Philippines Star confirmed the Philippines military buildup on the island.

China Set to Seize South China Sea Island by Force

China's latest act of aggression arrives after months of military posturing and bellicose rhetoric.

In October, China sent a surveillance ship to Hawaiian waters for the very first time in an unprecedented move which was described as a provocative retaliation to the U.S. naval presence in the East China Sea.

A lengthy editorial which appeared in Chinese state media last month explained how the Chinese military's current reformation process was part of a move by President Xi Jinping to prepare the People's Liberation Army for war in response to US aggression in the Asia Pacific, developments which have prompted "major changes" in China's national security situation.

Strident rhetoric about Beijing's ability to attack US military bases in the Western Pacific, as well as the release of a map showing the locations of major U.S. cities and how they would be impacted by a nuclear strike launched from the PLA's strategic submarine force also turned heads.

Following discussion in state media about plans to to turn the moon into a Star Wars-style "death star" from which the PLA could launch missiles against any target on Earth, a display to promote China's Jade Rabbit Moon rover also included a background photograph of a mushroom cloud over Europe.

What is Zhongye like?

Like many of Nansha islands (Spratly) Zhongye was named after a Chinese warship of the fleet that cruised the islands in 1946.

Chinese rise means Asia at war!!!

Either CCP must go or other powers should form an arc to counter this menace.

China is just like Jihadists before 9/11 , world feared them and now they bite the dust. Similar thing will happen to china.

India is not like china who is hell bent on occupying and grabbing resources, India way of dealing with such kind of issues more of a soft approach which is more acceptable on the international arena.

Chinese approach is of kind of like barbaric no need to toe the line of china.

Chinese are writing the script for their own downfall by vying for neighboring territories.

Katchatheevu was an Indian Territory Ceded to Lankans ..we can take it back from them because they Didn't act friendly to us they already allowed Chinese to Create Observation Posts in Lankan Mainland Soon in Katchatheevu too

Yes I also accept the fact that the Island is ceded by India to Srilanka and India should get it back, But not like chinese who are making enemies all around Asia. If an agreement has given the Island to Srilanka then another agreement will surely get it back to India.

Srilanka cannot anger India. There is nothing after Srilanka except for vast Indian Ocean.

Srilanka is getting aid from China, India is not against that aid and development in Srilanka. But we are against any military support of Srilanka to China or pakistan.

Both China and Pakistan tried to offer a nuclear deal to Srilanka (the plan is to nuclearize the Island nation there by make it another cuba like thing for India) , The Island nation simply rejected the offer instead they are relying on India

Similarly India is thwarting the efforts of Pakistan and China in srilanka.

The policy of India is let the Island nation receive what ever aid from China but do not let go the control over it. It is like when the situation arises, India takes the center stage in that Island.

Indian fishermen often do go into Srilankan waters and estimates show 85 fishermen were killed in 10 years and Srilanka is denied most of those killings.

There are lot of activities that go in these waters including arms smuggling. During the days of LTTE these incidents are more, Now a days the situation is coming back to normal.

I am talking about the important places of Srilanka , like how much time it will take to control the Island.

Philipines first stole the island in the last century from Republic of China, that is the first cause.
