A Pakistan-led inquiry into the November 26 NATO air strike on Salala military check post, alleged on Monday that a local Afghan army commander was responsible for orchestrating strike, BBC Urdu reported.
This was revealed in parts of an investigation report, conducted and handed over by Pakistan to NATO.
The report alleged that the NATO attack was pre-planned. It further alleged that a senior officer of the Afghan National army as well as members of intelligence agencies of other countries were responsible.
US forces were not involved in the attack, the report concluded.
According to the BBC, the report was compiled by Pakistani investigators who had interviewed local Afghan commanders, and eye witnesses.
According to Express News Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) department of the Pakistan army has denied the BBC report.
The November 26 air strike had been called in after US and Afghan forces near the Afghan, Pakistan border came under fire. The air strike called in for support attacked and destroyed the Pakistani border check post at Salala and killed at least 26 soldiers, including two officers. Pakistan had maintained that the check post did not fire first and the NATO attack was unprovoked.
NATO invited Pakistan to conduct a joint report, but Pakistan declined the offer, and said they would conduct their own investigation. The NATO report is due on December 23.

Such a convenient and pithy way of deflecting attention from the real perpetrators of the crime to somebody too weak to resist being made a scapegoat! "Prepare a report" blaming an Afghan commander. Pakistan, you amaze me! Your armed forces are even less respect-worthy than I thought.

25days into this drama and Pakistan starts to fall weak on its knees and doesn't even dare blame the Americans or NATO directly, but looks for a scapegoat in some local afghan commander who is of no real consequence, wow!

Hahaha "¦"¦"¦. it was some fun watching this drama unfold (I am using "was" because now we are right at the end), as usual Pakistan is high on rhetoric but when it comes to walk the talk, they immediately back off. Not that we at DFI didn't see it coming but it's interesting to see how each time a new script is written to fool their people. Pakistan army could do well writing scripts for hindi film industry.

Of interest is also the planned meet of Imran khan who would be travelling to the US to build up a working relationship with the Americans, imagine! This chap till now was supposed to be the crusader and the savior of the average Pakistani. These Pakistanis will never cease to amaze you.

Even chameleon wouldn't change its colors this fast!

Anyways, now that we are at the end of this drama, when are the NATO supply lines being reopened?

How unoriginal!

Now that the time has come to go back to the US cap in hand, a justification is made that Afghans did it. Its impossible to believe that Afghans can order an airstrike without full authorisations and approvals from Americans and their commanders.

The fact is that the Americans did bomb the checkpost and that is because Taliban and Pakistani soldiers on the checkpoint were both working together to fight Afghan and NATO forces.

If Pakistani troops had been fighting the Taliban instead of providing them the ability to play hide and seek, this war would have been over long ago.

Do I need say anything more than what has been posted by other members? Once the Arab situation is resolved and Iran as well. Pakistan should be next in line to bear the wrath of NATO forces till they hand over their nukes for safeguard. It is not a negotiable issue at all.

This.

Never seen a more shameless and beghairat bunch of lowlifes. They'll sell anything and anyone for a few pieces of silver.

Paki mangos who fall for this tripe are the biggest buffoons in my opinion. If one is under the illusioned that these retards can be reasoned with, they are either deceitful liars or naive to the point of being absolut daft.

India behind NATO attack on our soldiers, says Pakistan

India behind NATO attack on our soldiers, says Pakistan - www.daily.bhaskar.com

Islamabad: Pakistan has held an Afghan army commander responsible for hatching conspiracy into the NATO attack in Mohmand Agency that led to killing of its at least 26 soldiers last month.

Pakistani officials carried out a probe and found that an Afghan commander, deployed on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, hatched a conspiracy in collaboration with Indian intelligence to target the Pakistani outsposts that plunged the Pak-US relation to a new low, BBC Urdu quoted a Pakistani military officer as saying.

According to sources, Pakistan has handed over some parts of report to NATO officials, who have been investigating the issue.

The report claimed that the Afghan commander, who was commanding an Afghan patrolling team, hatched the conspiracy and no NATO or US security officials were present during the attack.

However, The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has denied the report, saying there is no truth in it.

Pakistan had earlier accused NATO helicopters and fighter jets of firing on two army checkpoints in the country's northwest and killing its soldiers. It had retaliated by closing the border crossings used by the international coalition to supply its troops in neighboring Afghanistan.

The incident was a major blow to already strained relations between Islamabad and U.S.-led forces fighting in Afghanistan.

On November 27, Pakistan had asked the US to vacate an airbase that has reportedly been used by American drones and closed NATO supply routes in response to a cross-border air strike by the coalition aircraft that killed its at least 26 soldiers.

On December 12, the US finally vacated the Shamsi Airbase in the Washuk district of Balochistan after using it for numerous covert and overt operations in Afghanistan as well as Pakistan in the war against terror for over a decade.

No, the headline is correct.
