Older UPA era political science textbook had a chapter of Nepal struggle for democracy which says that rise Nepali of democracy is inspiration for world.

It was wrong thing to happen, we didn't knew that how inimical are dark forces around us who were working without scrutiny to destroy us while we were ignorant.

IMO, democracy is suitable only for the large countries because it requires stable demography, diversity, and institutional support. Countries like Sri Lanka, Nepal etc would have done better by merging into the Indian Union.

Democracy works when you have a homogenous population with not much differences between them(like UK).

Democracy works when you have a homogenous population with not much differences between them(like UK).

Democracy will work when there is culture of democracy in between population, that's not something can be taught overnight. It comes from long evolution, and have to suffer endurance testing.

"homogeneous population" is a way to achieve "stable demographics". Diversity is the inverse of the "sheep mentality", people don't easily get swayed by the trends and propaganda.

yesterday nepali were quite close to win against south africa, but lost game by 1 run. they chocked like pakistan nd more similar like bangladesh . they didnt win against any test playing nation yet. but many nepali support pakistan team. sangati ka asar ho raha, jese afganistan team fuss thi pakistan ki help lete time. jab se BCCI ne help ki, tab se ve bhut test playing teams ko hara bhi rahi.

hmm..they can become good team like afganistan. if BCCI help them just like afganistan.when afganistan team helped by pakistan, they were weak team. but after BCCI help, them become good team. they haven't any international level stadium yet, which can organise night matches. 1-2 stadium r building slowly.
In nepali case i hv mixed feelings. i want they should progress, but their anti india activities nd rant making many indians less sympathetic with nepal. they think themself totally different country due to prithvi shah 1800 nepal unification. but before that they hv shared history with us.

It is age of global worldwide delusional wave. Every Falna, Chilna, Dhimkana have their own superiority complex head swelling. But they also have their pet-peeve, distrust among themselves, a feeling of helplessness. Even nothing-matters-Maldives also have that.
Main thing is there an active undertaking beneath. If the nation is doing something which is consequential, they it's okay. Those feelings not matter much, in reality practicality reign.
